Multicultural Children’s Book Day
Today is the day where bloggers, authors, publishers, librarians, parents, and educators from across the globe will come together to celebrate the 6th annual Multicultural Children’s Book Day! Yours truly is a co-host and I couldn’t be any happier!
What is Multicultural Children’s Book Day?
Multicultural Children’s Book Day is the brainchild of Valarie Budayr from Jump Into a Book and Mia Wenjen from PragmaticMom who are children’s reading and play advocates. They organized the very first event five years ago to celebrate diversity in children’s books. MCCBD’s mission is to not only raise awareness for the kid’s books that celebrate diversity, but to get more of these of books into classrooms and libraries.
